Woman's ankle being her aurah

Q: Is it true that if woman’s ankles are shown to non-mahrams, it gives a sin of zina.  

A: The ankle is part of her aurah, and to reveal the private area is a major sin, moreover when it is done deliberately.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
