Selling qurbaani skins that were gifted to one

Q: My brother gave his qurbaani sheep skins to me. Can I sell the skins?

If I give it to someone else, can they sell the skins and use the money?

A:

1. It is not permissible for the person who has done qurbaani to sell any part of his qurbaani i.e. the meat, skin etc. as an ibaadat has been fulfilled through this animal. However, if he gives the qurbaani meat, skin etc. to another person as a gift making them the owner of it, then it will be permissible for that person to benefit from it or sell it. Hence, it is permissible for you to sell the qurbaani skins that were gifted to you by your brother.

2. Yes, it is permissible.
