Exchanging money of different currencies

Q: My father has exchanged money, but it was not simultaneous. So, the transaction was haraam. But what about the money? My father has exchanged 10,000 SEK to different currency. So will the whole 10,000 SEK of my father be haraam? If so, how can we make it halaal?

If I tell my father to return the money to the other party, he is not going to listen me.

A: If both exchanges were of different currencies, and one currency was taken on the spot and the other was deferred, then this transaction was permissible on condition that both amounts were specified in the beginning.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
