Keeping pictures of a baby scan

Q: When a woman is pregnant she usually has an ultrasound at each visit. Will it be permissible to keep the baby scan and show others? Does it fall under the same catergory as taking a CT or ultrasound scan of any part of the body?

A: This is part of the private area. Hence, it cannot be shown. At such moments and times parents should be turning more to Allah Ta`ala with humility, begging for the goodness of the child and the child's good future, not showing off in this way.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
