Following the rules and regulations of a company one works for

Q: Is there any rules and regulations about not working according to an organization's standards?

For example, I work in an organization and my job is to give bonus amount to others based on their work. There is a chart by the organization about how much bonus should be provided according to the work. But if I don't follow it and give a bonus not according to them, will it be ok or not?

A: The bonuses given by the company are subject to the approval of the owners of the company. If the owners of the company are happy with the work of any employee, and feel that he deserves a bonus, then it is left to their choice and prerogative to give him from their wealth. It is not permissible for you to give bonuses to employees according to your discretion as you are not the owner of the company. Rather, you are employed by them and you should therefore follow the chart provided by them to determine which employee should be given a bonus.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
