Deactivating the social media account of a deceased person

Q: Is it necessary to deactivate the social media account of a deceased person? The person only has a few photos on their account.

A: If there is only halaal content on the account which is beneficial for people, then deleting the entire account is not necessary. However, if there is haraam content (e.g. pictures of animate objects, videos, music, etc.), then the haraam content should be deleted. As long as the haraam content remains, the deceased will continue to receive punishment for it.
