Taking sassa grant for one's child

Q: I have a question regarding the government sassa grant.

I have a stable job alhamdulillah, my wife is a housewife and we are not zakaatable alhamdulillah.

Can I receive the grant for my child?

A: If the government is giving this grant to people who are not earning for them to use it for their children, then it is permissible for your wife to accept the grant for the child. The money must be used for the benefit of the child.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
