Q: Is it jaiz to like one prophet over another?
A: In regard to the Ambiyaa (alaihimus salaam), we are commanded in Shariah to have a great amount of love and respect for them in our hearts. We are prohibited from showing any type of disrespect to the Ambiyaa (alaihimus salaam). Accordingly, we are prohibited from giving preference to one Nabi over another Nabi as this will amount to showing disrespect to the Nabi whom we feel is lower in rank.
Therefore, if your heart is more inclined towards a certain Nabi (due to some special virtue or excellence which Allah Ta'ala granted him), then you should not express this love by saying that "I love a certain Nabi more than another Nabi (or more than the other Ambiyaa)" as this will result in you showing disrespect to the other Nabi (or other Ambiyaa).
However, as far as our beloved Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is concerned, then since he is our Rasul and Nabi (and declared by Allah Ta'ala as the Imaam of all the Ambiyaa and Rasuls), he is regarded as our spiritual father, and it is permissible to say that I love my Nabi more than all the other Ambiyaa. This can be resembled to a person loving his father more than his uncles.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
