Climbing Jabal Rahmah on the Day of Arafah

Q: Is there any virtue in climbing Jabal Rahmah on the day of Arafah?

A: Jabal Rahmah is part of Arafah. Hence, wuqoof is valid at this place. However, it should be borne in mind that there is no special virtue for climbing Jabal Rahmah on the day of Arafah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

قال العلامة ابن عابدين رحمه الله: وأما صعوده كما يفعله العوام فلم يذكر أحد ممن يعتد به فيه فضيلة بل حكمه حكم سائر أراضي عرفات وادعى الطبري والماوردي أنه مستحب ورده النووي بأنه لا أصل له لأنه لم يرد فيه خبر صحيح ولا ضعيف نهر (رد المحتار 2/506)
