Dua to read on Shab-e-baraat

Q: Shab e Baraat is soon and I’d like to know how can a woman in haidh spend it? I am aware we can do dhikr but could you please assist with any specific zikr that holds a lot of weight that can be done on this night?

A: You may recite durood shareef or any zikr. The zikr which is prescribed in the hadith to be recited on this night is the following dua:

O Allah, I seek refuge in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and I seek refuge in You (in Your mercy) from You (from Your punishment). You are exalted. I am unable to praise You as You ought to be praised. You are as You have praised Yourself. (Shu'abul Imaan #3556)

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
