Boycotting the ways of the kuffaar

Q: Taking the current situation of the Muslims in Palestine into consideration, should we be boycotting items like Coke, etc.?

A: Though it is permissible to boycott the kuffaar products as one will try to bring financial harm to them, the more important thing for Muslims to do (in order to draw the help of Allah Ta‘ala towards ourselves) is to boycott the ways of the kuffaar.

Muslims should not emulate the kuffaar and enemies of Allah Ta‘ala in their dressing and lifestyle, in their sports and entertainment (viz, the TV, YouTube, music, internet, etc.) in their culture and fashions, in their haraam business transactions and haraam contracts and policies (e.g. insurance and riba based schemes, gambling, taking riba based loans from banks etc.).

In order for the Muslims to draw the divine help and assistance of Allah Ta‘ala towards them, they need to be more loyal and obedient to Allah Ta‘ala and His Rasul (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in all departments of their lives and totally shun the lifestyle of the kuffaar, a lifestyle that is full of sin and disobedience.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
