Burying copies of the Quraan Shareef that are partially burnt

Q: In a fire that burnt down the house, some Qur'an Shareefs were partially burnt. Some pages are blackened but the whole Quran Shareef is smelling like smoke and ash.

Although most of the pages are usable, in view of the above state, can this Qur'an Shareef rather be buried?

A: Yes, the Quraans should be placed in a cloth with utmost respect and then be buried in a place where people do not walk above that area of the ground. This is to ensure that no disrespect is shown to the Quraans in any way.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
