Q: There is a scholar in our masjid, we used to ask deeni masail to him.
One day me and my cousins were joking about him, like one acts like that scholar and other one comes and asks masla to him. Our intention was not to mock his fatwas, his knowledge, or his role as a scholar but his speaking style and body language.
Did we commit kufr?
A: This is very dangerous. Make istighfaar and read the kalimah in abundance and promise not to repeat this again.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
