Gold plated rings and silver jewellery

Q: I wanted to know the fatwa regarding rings… 

Can a stainless steel ring that's 18k gold plated be worn? 

And what sterling silver amount (926?) is permissible?

A: 

1. Yes, if the stainless steel ring is fully plated in pure gold, then it will be permissible for women to wear it. 

2. If the silver content is more than fifty percent, then it will be treated as pure silver.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
