Dressmaker altering clothing of non-Muslims for Diwali or Christmas

Q: Is it permissible for a tailor/dressmaker to alter clothing of non-Muslims?

For example if a Hindu brings a sari to alter for Diwali or a Christian tells the tailor that they need the clothes altered for Christmas, will it be permissible for the tailor to do this job?

A: If the clothing is an exclusive clothing of a kaafir religion or kaafir cult (or it has some religious connotations on it), then it will not be permissible for a Muslim tailor to sew or alter such clothing as he will be aiding in sin and promoting haraam. If the clothing is normal clothing, then it is permissible for the tailor to sew it or alter it.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
