Q: I am currently in Makkah to perform Umrah.
Entered Ihram state 2 days ago. I was supposed to do my Tawaf and Sa'i yesterday. Unfortunately, I got my menses (1 week earlier than normal). I am still in my ihram state.
I am due to leave Makkah in 3 days and my menses will not be finished by then. Thus I will not be able to perform Tawaf and complete my Umrah. I do no know when I can come back to perform Umrah again.
I thus do not know if I should pay for Dam/sacrifice and exit my Ihram and if this is the right thing to do.
Can you please help?

A: If you can extend your stay in Makkah Mukarramah and complete your umrah after coming out of haiz, then this will be the best thing for you to do.
However, if this is not possible, then after returning to your country, you should appoint someone in Makkah Mukarramah to slaughter a damm on your behalf in the precincts of the Haram with the intention of coming out of ihraam.
The damm is a goat or sheep (which will suffice for qurbaani). When the animal is slaughtered, then you will come out of the state of ihraam. The meat of the slaughtered animal should be distributed among the poor and destitute in Makkah Mukarramah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
