Q: Is exchanging of gifts permissible before nikaah? Does it fall in the hukm of bribe?
A: It is permissible. However one should refrain from extravagance, show or anything which is impermissible in Shari'ah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
