Q: My husband has assets. He has two blood sons and one blood daughter. He now also has a stepson. Is the stepson entitled to any of his wealth after he dies unless otherwise stated in a will.

Q: Person A lent person B money years ago as an investment into person B's business. No amount or percentage over and above the capital amount was fixed. Person b has now passed away leaving 8 heirs, some of whom are minors. The estate has not been wound up as yet due to other reasons. What will be the correct Islamic ruling with regards to paying back the additional money. Do we use a fixed percantage per year or use market related percentages to calculate the amount? Will it be permissible to pay back the money as person A expects her capital amount as well as a return on investment even though no amount was agreed upon.

Q: My parents died with 3 properties on their name, out of 3, one was claimed by my brother that it belongs to him, well he also passed away recently and his wife sold that property, now how shall we distribute these properties among ourselves. The deceased brother has a widow, 3 daughters and 1 son. We are 3 brothers alive and 1 sister alive.

Q: Can I sell my mothers gold bangles and use the money to pay for her grave headstone? She didn't assign her gold to any person/children.

Q: What is the position of foster children when it comes to inheriting?

Q: My mother did not assign her gold bangles to anybody before she died. Should they be shared with her children?

Q: If a man said in his will that his 1 daughter must live in his house and give the rent to his other daughter, who is a widow and the other heirs agreed to it, is it permissible?

Q: If a man passes away leaving behind his wife as his only inheritor, how would the inheritance be distributed? Would it make a difference if he also had a maternal aunt (mother's sister)?

Q: "A" nominated the name of "BC" in immovable property during his life time at the society records, stating that after his death "BC" will be the owner of the immovable property, in the presence of his other legal heirs/family members and the other legal heirs knows the same, thereafter "A" died, whether the nominees "BC" will be the sole co-owners of the said immovable property or other legal heirs of the deceased will have right over the said property, as per Islam, Please answer.

Q: Parents have two sons and two daughters. After their marriage they distribute their property and asked them to invest. After some time one daughter died and after her death, her father also died. Now the brother and mother are telling the children of the dead daughter that we will not give you the share of the property in which they invested and is registered in the court of law. Please guide us.
