Mahr

Forced mahr

Q: My question is about Mahar. Please tell me about the forced Mahar. I heard in an Islamic channel about forced mahar a caller call mufti and he said that he did a nikah but in nikah his in-laws and girl's uncle forced him and his family to write 200,000 Pakistan Rupees in Mahar but the boy did not agree to accept that huge mahar amount from his heart. Due to some family reason's he accepted. So he Asked Mufti that now who will pay the Mahar since I am not able to pay it. The mufti replied in this scenario you were willing to marry that girl but you don't agree with Mahar from your heart and the In-law's or any person forced you to accept it and due to family reason's you accepted that Mahar, so now you are not responsible to pay the Mahar nor your family. Now the person or person's who forced you to accept that mahar will pay your Mahar to your wife. Please tell me, is that Mufti's opinion right or wrong and please also provide me a hadith as a reference with Translation in Urdu or English.

One date as mahr

Q: Is it permissible to me to ask for 1 date for my mahr? I would like to ask my fiancee to go to the poorest date seller, ask him how
much 1 kg of dates cost (f.e. 10 Dinar) and ask him how many family member he has (f.e. with him included there are 6 people living with him) so my fiancee should multiply the cost of 1kg of dates with the family members (inc. the date seller). f.e. 60 Dinars. So I want my fiancee to pay the date seller 60 Dinars, but take only 1 Date as my mahr and leave the others to the date seller as a sadaqa. I would like to eat the date with my fiancee's mother and my mother, and plant it to a tree (in shaa allah). I also would ask (as part of my mahr) for the surah mulk to get recited by him from his heart.

Is this permissible that he give me this 1 date + reciting one surah under such extraordinary circumstances? Or is the mahr void if I just ask for that?
