Q: I have come across the fatwa on Nike. I have 3 questions:

1. Is the swoosh also impermissible?

2. If a person wears Nike, will he be commiting kufr?

3. What should I do with my Nike clothing?

Q: Is shaving with razors haraam for women in Islam?

Q: I have white hair on my head and beard. Can I use black dye on my hair?

Q: Is threading the upper lip haraam in Islam for girls?

Q: I want to buy attars that cost between R2000 and R4000 a bottle, but due to the high price, I fear it will displease Allah Ta'ala or it is not befitting of someone aspiring to be close to Allah Ta'ala. Is it fine for me to buy such attars? 

Q: A lady has long hair that she does not cut because it is impermissible. However, over time, her hair has become uneven.

1. Is it permissible to cut the hair so that it looks even (of the same length) from her back when she unties it and puts her hair to her back?
Note that since individual hair strands grow from follicles at different parts of the scalp, making sure the hair looks the same length does not mean that each strand is of the same length. She feels like it is impossible to guarantee that all hair is the same length.

2. She has a lot of split ends and her hair is very dry and unhealthy at the ends. Is it permissible for her to cut the dry part (bottom 3-4 inches) so all of her hair becomes healthy?

Q: Can you please tell me how do we determine if a dress is transparent or not. Most of my dresses are such that if I hold them in front of my eyes, I can see whatever is on the other side. But if I put my hand below the dress or wear the dress, my body colour cannot be seen. Are these dresses considered to be transparent? What is the way of determining if a dress is transparent or not?

Q: I know that women are not allowed to cut their hair. But if her hair grows really long and reaches below the buttocks, is she allowed to cut the excess hair? The hair is really thin at the bottom and looks ugly. 

Q: Is it permissible to do eyebrow makeup without plucking any hair? It usually involves applying gel liners inside the eyebrows and then brushing them with a specific brush. This helps darken them/enhances their shape.

Q: Is applying mehndi on your hands when getting married a Hindu custom? The intention is not to follow any culture, but rather just to beautify oneself.
