Miqaat

Q: I live in Oman and I am going for umrah. First I will go to Madinah then I will go to jeddah and last I will go to Makkah for umrah. So from where should I wear the ihram for umrah?

Q: Alhamdulillah a few years back Allah had afforded me with the opportunity to perform umrah. We flew from Jhb to Madina, and from Madina then took a taxi to the miqaat to tie ihraam and proceed to perform umrah. However while flying we flew over the miqaat, and I was wondering, were we supposed to tie ihraam on the plane before landing in Madina.If yes, then should dumm be paid?

Q: I live in Mumbai (India) and I am planning to perform Umrah. I will be taking a flight from Mumbai to Jeddah and continue onwards from Jeddah to Makkah via bus/car. I know that I need to be in the state of ihram while passing the Miqaat. I will wear Ihram at Mumbai airport so that all I have to do while passing the Miqaat (in the air) is make the Niyah.

My query is that I do not know when should I make the Niyah so that I am sure I have not missed the Miqaat boundary. I will be travelling in a flight which will not be notifying me when I pass over the Miqaat area. What is the way that I should follow? Should I make Niyah from Mumbai (India) airport OR should I make Niyaah 1 hour before reaching Jeddah? There can be a chance that I do not pass over any specific Miqaat point (rather pass through between 2 Miqaat points), what do I do in that case? ?

Q: I pass the meeqat without wearing ihram, so in this case do I have to give one Dam. Is it possible to feed some poor perosn or can I fast instead of giving damm.

Q: My sister went for Hajj this year.. Alhamdulilah they are in Madina now but she got her monthly cycle. Before coming to Makkah she will be clean from her monthly cycle. Can u tell me, will she make niyat of umrah from zulhulaifa in Madina or will she come to Masjid Ayesha? What is the right way for my sister?

Q: I am living in Jeddah. My mother is coming to me on umra visa. I have a plane to go to madina on the same day without doing umrah. After staying at madina for 2 days we are planing to do umra on return, is there any objection according to Quran and Sunnah?

Q: I came to Saudi Jeddah to search for a job. I am planning to search for a job in Makkah. Can I go to Makkah without ihraam and search for a job and return to Jeddah without doing umrah?

Q: A person went for Umrah. After a few days he decided to go for ziyarat to Taif (up to Masjid Abdullah bin Abbaas radhiyallahu anhuma) from Makkah.

1. Was it necessary for him to return with Ihraam back to Makkah?

2. If yes, then what is the penalty as he is now back in South Africa. 

Q: If a person wears ihram at the airport and offers 2 rakat ihram salaah and then makes niyyat in the aeroplane before passing the meeqat, is that correct?

Q: If I am on safar for Umrah and the intention is to go to Makkah first but I decide to spend one night in Jeddah. When will I have to wear my Ihraam, on the plane or after spending the night in Jeddah?
