Jewellery and Rings

Q: Many people say that if you wear a stone such as "AQEEQ" on your hand, it will remove your problems, pains in life and open ways for you. People give reference of Ahaadeeth. What does Islam say about it?

1. Can a man wear a silver chain on his neck?

2. What accessories is halaal for men to wear?

Q: If I give away my imitation rings to another Muslim lady, will I be sinful?

Q: Is it haraam for women to wear fake rings?

Q: I am aware that men are not allowed to wear a silver ring that exce​eds one mithqaal. However, is there any ruling regarding which finger the ring can be worn on?

Q:

1. Is it permissible for a man to wear a ring on his middle or index finger?

2. Also, is wearing a ring made of stainless steel or other mixed metals allowed. (According to the Hanafi madhab)

Q: Does prohibition of wearing artificial rings for women apply while performing salah only?

Q: Are men allowed to wear platinum rings and if yes, what is the maximum weight?

Q: I read in Behashti Zewar that it is not permissible for women to wear artificial rings.

1. Since I was unaware of this ruling, I already have many such rings that I used to wear. What should be done with those rings?

2. I have given rings as gifts to many women in the past and my jewellery business gave me profit from selling artificial rings. Will I be sinful for this? What should I do now?

Q: I would like to know according to shariah, what is the basis in Islam for using a ring to show that one is married, whether it be a man or a woman.
