Q: My question is about Christmas Day. On this day all of my family are off work. My brother comes from London to meet my parents and all the brothers and sisters get together. We usually have a meal at my parents house. This is the time when turkey is available in abundance. So this is usually what is cooked. It has been brought to our attention that we are copying the Chritian faith in doing so. However, for us it is a get together because apart from the 2 Eids this is the only time we are off work together. Your thoughts on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Q: Is it a sunnah to drink milk before sleeping?

Q: Please advise if it is permissible for a Muslim to use the same microwave at work where other non-Muslim staff use it to reheat haraam food which may include pork in some instances?

Q: What is the ruling with regards to eating with a spoon?

Q: Is it sunnat or adab to end your meal with the food that you started with? Eg you ate a sweetdish 1st, so you should end with that.

Q: Is marijuana consider khmar? And does it invalidate the salat for 40 days?

Q: I was aware that seafood is halaal. Keeping that in mind, I ate squid, octopus and mussels. When I researched later, I found out it is not halaal. Could you please confirm whether it was halaal or not? If it is not, how can I repent? This action was done unintentionally.

Q: Is eating indian freshwater catfish halal? I have heard that it doesn't have scales. Is consumption of fish which don't have scales halaal?

Q: Is it allowed for a Muslim to eat a product that has Carmanic Acid, which is made from insect. If it is Halal, then majority of the food have some sort of insect in them (tiny amount), would that be considered non Halal to them?

Q: My mother had gotten a pancake mix from the market. I asked the company about its ingredients, they said they had used animal derived products in it (the product came from the US). I'm not sure what kind of animal products are in there. I told my mother to stop using it because it is hughly suspicious since it could be haram. Now my mother always scolds me that I should not be so suspicious of haram things and she refuses to stop using it because she says I'm exaggerating things. What should i do?
