Q: I have recently found out naturally brewed Soy Sauce contains alcohol. I am confused as I don't believe Soy Sauce is an intoxicant, however there are fatwas saying it is Halal and people saying it is Haram. Can you advise?

Q: What is the ruling on bovine gelatine which comes from beef? Is it ok to use if you know that there are certain conditions to make its use on?

Q: Is eating rice with hands sunnah? Some say that there were no rice in time of our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

Q: Can we eat biscuits and ice cream in which all the ingredients are halal but as a artificial flavouring- vanilla is used? I'm in a confusion because some scholars say vanilla is Haram due to presence of 37% of alcohol in it....and some says that we can't feel the presence of alcohol & in which we does not feel the alcoholic thing we can eat it...what should I do?

Q: My wife made rotis yesterday and placed them in a container. When they were cool she covered them. We had rotis for supper last night. After esha, when I was in the kitchen, I saw a mouse eating from a wrapped left-over sandwich. Later, I put the roti container in the fridge. After fijar, my wife took out the roti container from the fridge. She saw mice droppings or "stools" on the side of rotis in the container. 

1. What do we do with the rotis?

Q: I would like to enquire whether we can trust MJC and NIHT. Reason being there seems to be a lot of doubt with these as compared to SANHA. It makes me wonder how all the meat supplied to Mc Donalds and KFC can be halaal as there is a lot of animals that would be slaughtered and to slaughter an animal in compliance with shariah takes more time and care so how do we know that these animals are being slaughtered accordingly?

Q: I would like to know if the product arome vanille from Vahine brand (french brand) is halal or not.

Q: Is it permissible to eat an easter egg if the intention behind eating it is not to celebrate easter, but just to eat the chocolate without even thinking of it as an easter egg?

Q: We live in America and there are some restaurants whose owners are Agha Khani's. They sell meet products and say that they sell only halal meat. We believe that they buy halal meat but is it permissible to eat from their restaurants? We are not sure if the food is cooked by a Muslim or Agha Khani or Hindu.

Q: I mistakenly took a gelatine capsule. I have made alot of taubah but am afraid that the effect of the haraam will fall onto me. It was completely unintended.
