Hairstyles for Muslim women

Q: I have a question regarding hairstyles of women.

1. What hairstyles does the shariah command us to make and what type of hairstyles to abstain from?

2. Is it compulsory for women to style their hair in such a way that the hair falls through the sides and the mid line of the scalp is seen?

3. Is their any punishment for not keeping the mid line of the front scalp shown?

Keeping a beard more than a fist length

Q: My question is regarding cutting beard when it reaches length of one fist.

I have noticed there are scholars who say one should leave the beard and not cut it at all because there is no proper evidence. They say that the hadith of Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) tells about cutting the beard during hajj or umrah only. So that means that we cannot cut the beard during any other time. They also say that according to one hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu anhu), Nabi Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said to cut the beard and leave the beard, i.e. don't touch the beard.

While there are scholars who say that Imam Ahmed (rahimahullah) used to cut the beard when it reached the length of one fist and also gives proof of other righteous predecessors. So, is there any evidence that Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) used to cut his beard other than hajj or umrah and other Taabioon or 4 great Imaams did it?

Wearing a wig

Q: My husband lost all his hair to the point where he is bald. His not even 30 yet. However he wants to use a weave on his own head so it looks like he has hair. As far as I'm aware it's not allowed in Islam as it uses glue and wig. However my husband seems to think it is allowed. Could you please clarify.

Mehndi patterns

Q: Is the way of putting hennah patterns of flowers and shapes etc. on our Muslim sisters hands and feet which are seen in public correct in connection to how it was used by women in the time of our Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)?
