Q: A man passed away, leaving behind his wife, a son, two daughters, a brother and a sister.
Let's say he left an estate valued at $100,000. He had verbally expressed his wish to give one-third of the estate to charity, but there is no written will.
How should his estate be calculated and distributed according to Islamic inheritance laws?
Additionally, because the deceased was ill for the last six months and suffered from dementia, he was unable to perform Salah (prayers) during that time. Should Fidyah be paid for the missed prayers, and if so, from which portion of the estate?
Q: Person A runs a business for person B. There are some customers who buy on credit. Person A gets a straight monthly salary only. 2 customers haven't paid for 4 months now, so person A was asked to leave, and person A had to pay person B, the owner, the value not paid by the 2 customers.
Is this correct? Please explain
Q: Is standing and eating fruit a Sunnah?
I know that standing and drinking Zamzam is a Sunnah... However it was mentioned to me by someone that it's sunaah to stand and eat fruit and that it is the only thing that's permissible to stand and eat. Can mufti Saheb please advise.
Q: I observed Hijab (with face cover) but my wedding is near and when my marriage proposal came, my mother in law requested me not to cover my face in front of my brother-in-law after marriage. I feared that time and I agreed to her but now I'm confused if Islam allows it or not. Please guide me regarding that.
Q: If the family (mother or father) of the groom uses their own wealth to acquire the mahr and present it to the bride on behalf of the groom without gifting it to the groom first and allowing him to send it, is the nikaah valid?
This was all done because the groom did not have the means for the mahr.

Q: I travel quite often out of town for work purposes. Can I call my wife and children via a video call to see how they are doing? The call will not be recorded
Q: I have recently seen some of the YouTube videos of Sheikh Imran Hosein from Trinidad. However, I have some doubts and reservations regarding some of the things which he has mentioned in his lectures on YouTube.
I have also read some of his Islamic books and articles, and find that he is promoting certain beliefs which are in contrast to the beliefs that we have learnt in madrasah. Among the beliefs which he subscribes to and promotes are the following two beliefs:
1. He claims that Nabi Isa (‘alaihis salaam) had been crucified, and thereafter, Allah Ta’ala gave him life.
2. He claims that the manner in which a certain verse is recited today is incorrect and is not part of the actual Qur’aan that was revealed by Allah Ta’ala upon Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Rather, the people who came after Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) made a change to that word of the Qur’aan Majeed. He says that the verse “وَاِنّه لَعِلْمٌ لِّلسَّاعة” can only be read as وَاِنّه لَعَلَمٌ لِّلسَّاعة and it is incorrect to read it as وَاِنّه لَعِلْمٌ لِّلسَّاعة .
Can Mufti Saheb please explain whether this person’s beliefs are acceptable or whether they go against the correct beliefs of Islam and will render one out of the fold of Islam for subscribing to them?
I have also heard that Sheikh Imran Hosein is coming to South Africa soon. Will it be permissible for people to attend his lectures?
