Q: I wanted to ask Mufti Sahib for some advice for Hifz Asatiza. There is a need to mark mistakes in students' Qurans to conscientise them of their mistakes. However, it is taken to another level where words of Quran are circled, overlined many a time on the word. Please advise the correct method so that we can practice.
Q:
1. Is it correct to say that Nabi Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is alive with his body as his soul has been returned to his body?
2. Is it correct to say that he (صلی الله عليه وسلم) knows everything from Allah about the deeds, intentions and wishes of the people who come to visit him in Ar-Rawdah?
Q: I would like to know if it's wrong to make your mother in law sit in the back seat of the car? Even though we respect and love her.
Q: Kindly provide an answer to the following questions:
1. Is it permissible to appoint a trustee (mutawalli) for a musalla or masjid who lives about 20km away from the masjid and who does not come for salaah except about once in 3 months?
2. Is it permissible to appoint a trustee (mutawalli) for a musalla or masjid who lives about 6km away from the masjid and who does not come for salaah except about once a month? And he has very little knowledge of what is going on in the musalla/masjid with regards to the imaam, the water and lights, the geyser, etc.
3. If a person is appointed as a trustee, what are his responsibilities towards the musalla and towards the musallis?
Q: As we know it is waajib to recite the first 3 verses of Surah Faatiha in every rakaah of salaah.
I heard a mufti say that qiraat changes the amount of verses in the Quraan. If I recite the first three verses of Surah Faatiha and combine the second and third verse and not recite further would my prayer be valid?
Q: I have been speaking to a girl online and we have tried to stop speaking many times and I totally regret the sin and wanted to conceal it so I didn’t tell anyone but it gets difficult because we find ourselves falling back into the sin and we want to get married. The only thing stopping is my parents so I told my parents about the situation even though I never wanted anyone to know because I wanted to conceal my sin, thinking they would assist me into getting married. However my parents have still not given me an answer and they think I’m too immature to get married and that I don't read all my Salaahs which I try my very best to perform all the time and the girl has accepted me the way I am. Q: Please can you comment on the permissibility of ‘fade’ haircuts? We have seen people claim that having the hair cut two distinctly different lengths is fine, if it is not done with the intention of imitating kuffaar.
Q: If my wife wants to go to the dr , but the dr is a female and I do not want her to go to a female dr because I do not support women being out of the home and the way the studies go on in universities, Is it fine if I get her checked by a male dr and only expose the parts she needs to get checked up by cutting out the material of an old garment under my supervision? Will this be fine or must she rather see a female dr?
Q: I am reading my salaah alone and I am not sure whether I read 1 rakaat or 2 rakaats. Should I make sajida sahw or break the salaah and restart again.
Q: I'm with a person for many years. But now we live in the same place because we are studying in the same state. We meet every day and shake hands or be together that puts us under extreme guilt. From the start we only had an intention to get married SO we have now. We can't tell our parents this time because we live in a high society where you are supposed to get married when you achieve something in life, have a great job and everything. But we are still studying.
Now we are at the same place so we come in touch and we want to make our relationship halaal by doing nikaah so as not to get in any haraam things. Our age is 25. Can you please enlighten us in this matter. How we are supposed to do it? When in future we will do it in front of our parents that time do we have to give divorce first? Can we marry the same person twice?
