Q: A friend of mine recently converted to Islam Alhumdulillah. As we live in a non-Islamic country, he needed to sign a form stating that he has knowingly and willingly converted to Islam and has taken the Shahada. This form needs to be signed in front of a policeman or notary by the Imam of his local masjid and also a witness from his family to acknowledge that they know of and understand his decision to convert to Islam. This form is mainly so that should he die, he is buried in the proper Islamic manner and his family who are non-Muslims cannot bury him otherwise. Obviously all other terms and conditions of being a convert to Islam with family still non-Muslim apply. However his parents have refused to accept his Islam and therefore will not willingly witness and sign the form. My question is, can another family member (e.g. his uncle) stand as witness to this signing and will it be binding? Is there anything else he needs to do with regards to this and his conversion to Islam?

Q: A musaafir became a muqeem in Durban because he intended to stay for 30 days. However, after 20 days, he travels to Port Shepstone, for one day only, returning the same day to Durban. Will this person read qasar for the remaining 10 days or the full salaah?

Q: A few days ago I explained to my family that impurities transfer, but it seems that either they don't understand or they are not taking the matter seriously. I saw my mum touching my nephew's nappy. She didn't care whether her hands were soiled or not. She washes my clothes and irons them as well. Can I perform Salaah. I told my family that urine is impure and they all say yes that it's impure but I think that don't understand that impurities transfer. What should I do. Yesterday I wanted to perform Salaah then I left it because I thought I became impure. If they continue to became lax about impurities, what should I do?

Q: Is having a collar on one's kurtha a sunnat?

Q: I am a mazoor suffering from urine incontinence. I have 3 questions:

1. After making istinjaa and before making wudhu I always drip some urine in between, can I still make wudhu?

2. If a mazoor intentionally urinates one or two drop of urine, is his wudhu still valid?

3. Is reciting Qur'an forgiven for a mazoor?

Q: I feel stressed and depressed due doubts and waswasas. Please me help me in this situation. How can I get rid out of this? Its affects my physical and mental health. Please give me any duaa to recite.

Q: Is it permissible for me to sew a dress with short sleeves for a female customer, even though it is possible that she will wear it in front of non mahrams?

Q: My in-laws buy groceries and other household items in bulk every month. They say that there is more baraqah in buying in bulk. Is that not going against the Sunnah? Shouldn't we live for the day and not plan ahead?

Q: I have a non Muslim female friend. I want her to come to Islam and become a Muslim. For this I always make dua for her and show my best character (akhlaaq) to her. But when I talk about religion she tells me she doesn't believe in any religion but she believes in Almighty God that He is One. She is engaged in bad habits such as: cigarettes, wine, boy friend relationships, etc. When I told her to leave these things she got irritated and told me don't interfere in my life. I have my own life. What I want I will do. I don't care whether it is good or bad. Please tell me in this situation what should I do?

Q: A 19 year old girl wants to marry but her parents are refusing and not giving her any chance. They do not have a Shar'ee reason. This is leading to haraam and fitna. Please advice. Can nikaah without their permission be performed?
