Designing software for a delivery company

Q: I’m a software engineer currently working and residing in a Muslim majority country. I have a stable job but got a very good job offer from a delivery company in Europe. As part of the that company, I will be building web platforms that customers can use to order food, groceries, game tickets etc. The company partners with restaurants & supermarkets to deliver food and goods which can very well include pork and alcohol and the company takes the delivery fee and a comission.

The company also has a courier delivery and ticket delivery wing and I could be assigned to work on any of the particular service.

Although my job does not include direct contact with haram items, but it could be used either to order simple groceries or to order wine. There is no specific information about what share of the company’s business involves delivering alcoholic products or pork.

Is it permissible for me to take that job? Should I just stay away from it or join the company and see how close I am to building the tech which customers are going to be using for ordering haram items?

Selling women's clothes online

Q: I am doing business online. I sell portraits and paintings, etc. I also sell hand painted hijaabs and sharee gowns. I like to wear beautiful clothes at home. From here I feel a hijaabi sister can wear attractive clothing when they are at home in front of maharams.

1. Am I in a trap of shaitan if I think this way?

2. Can I sell these clothes to non hijaabi sisters?

3. Is it permissible to do this type of business?

4. I know that niqaab is a permissible dress code in islam, but there are many controversies about hijaab. Can I sell hijaab?

Performing Eid Salaah after slaughtering if the Eid Salaah was missed

Q: I read the following concerning the timing for zabihah of the qurbaani animal. Can you tell me if this is correct?

If for some reason or other Eid Salaah was not performed on Eid day (i.e. 10th Zhul-Hijjah) then it will only be ja’iz to commence sacrificing AFTER ZAWAAL on that day, i.e. after expiry of the time of Eid Salaah, which is just before zawaal. However, during the next two days, qurbani could be done at any time.

If Eid Salaah was read the following day (11th) or the day thereafter (12th) qurbaani would be ja’iz even BEFORE the Eid on these two days.

Creating a WhatsApp group of males and females to share Islamic knowledge

Q: I am currently studying in a medical university. I want to share Islamic knowledge with my classmates. Is it permissible for me to make a WhatsApp group of my classmates, including both male and female, and then share Islamic knowledge on that group. There will be NO personal contact with any female.

There are already many other WhatsApp groups in which the whole class is added for study discussions. So if I use the same platform to spread Islamic knowledge, is it permissible?
