Q: I have recently started alimah classes and am halfway through with my hifz. Alhamdulillah, due to the Deeni knowledge that I have been exposed to, I have become more conscious of Allah and I began to worry that my imaan was too weak. I want to strengthen my Imaan.

There are two main things that I am doing that worry me. I watch tv and read a lot of romance novels. I have tried, but I can't stop both at once.

Can Mufti Saheb inform me of which is worse, so that I can concentrate on that first?

Q:

1. Is there equality in marriage between a Gujarati boy and a Pashtun girl?

2. Is there equality in lineage between Gujaratis and Pashtuns?

Q: My father passed away in Pakistan 8 years ago. He left 1 widow, 2 sons, 4 daughter and a property in the UK and Pakistan. 2 sons were from his 1 marriage.

Our mother passed away when we were very little. Our father married again when I, the eldest son was 8 years old. As per UK law everything goes to the legal wife after the death of a spouse.

After my fathers death I have requested for my share as everyone is enjoying my late fathers wealth. Can the stepmother who is holding on to everything exclude me from my right? As all others have ganged up on me.

Q: If in salaah I did not recite a surah in the 3rd rakaat of the 4 Sunnah, do I make an extra rakaat as qadah?

Q: I am going to retire in the near future. I dont want to deposit my money in any bank due to interest as it is haram. However, there are many Islamic Banks which also give returns on the deposits, though less.

My question is, 'Is keeping money in Islamic Banks and earning a profit halal or not'?

Q: We have given a portion of our house on rent. But mostly the tenants are hindu and perform prayers there. I want to know whether it would stop the angels from entering our portion and also whether it would affect barkat in any way?

Q:

1. Can I read dua's from the Quraan, like starting with "Rabbana" while in sajdah during fardh salaah?

2. Can I make dua in my mother tongue while in sajdah during fardh salaah?

3. Can I do both of these during nafl and sunnah salaah?

Q: I am married and five weeks pregnant. I have a two year old son. I don't want the new baby as I am financially unstable and I am planning to move abroad. The new child will cause us many troubles and we will face many problems there as well as here in Pakistan. Please can you allow me to abort?

Q: I'm currently unemployed and had to close down my business and there isn't anyone else in my household working. I have debts too pay off apart from my usual monthly expenses. A family member has offered to give me interest money. Can I accept it and if so can I use it to pay off my immediate debts like my landlord for outstanding rental on the shop I had and one other individual and if there is money left over could I can use it to try and start a small business from home in order to try and earn an income (I don't know the amount of interest money).

Q: Is there any punishment or warning mentioned for self harm. e.g. cutting oneself. etc.
