Q: I recently discovered that some of my past actions were kufr and I sent some messages containing shirk. I have sincerely repented and vowed never to do them again. I made a general taubah regarding all my past actions then recited kalimah.

1. I would like to ask if it is necessary to repent specifically for each action as all I have thought about since is remembering specific kalimat I said. Do I need to do tajdeed e iman again if I remember those past actions after making general taubah?

2. Also do I need to perform ghusl after tajdeed e iman?

3. Can tajdeed e iman be made whenn one is junub.

4. What about my prayers that I said while not realising my kufr?

Q: I am a 28 year old divorced Muslimah with no kids. I recently met someone who is keen on making nikaah. He has 2 boys, 11 and 6. I am willing to accept them as my own and mould them into pious young Muslims in sha allah. There is something that I am scared about though. I'm scared of when they decide to become rebellious towards me. How do I react? Will it affect my relationship with my spouse?

Q: I am a person who due to illness cannot concentrate on anything for too long and cannot follow conversations. When I perform my Witr Salaah I cannot recall the Qunoot and sometimes I start then get muddled up and cannot continue further. Prior to my illness I used to recite the qunoot, however now I cannot. Will my salaah be accepted without the qunoot? Is there something which can substitute the Qunoot?

Q: My question concerns the modern day sharing of females' pictures and videos on different social media platforms. What is the Shariah ruling regarding the matter?

Q: I wanted to ask that a family member of mine took a personal loan of 3 lac from the bank using my details. The agreement made at that point was that my account will only be used to apply for the loan whereas the loan amount and all the installments along with interest will be paid by her. At that time I had no idea that interest taking and giving is haram in Islam. I agreed to that and the amount was taken by her and it has been four months. She is not paying the installments and every month she gives a reason of not having cash to pay installments.

Since the bank has my details therefore I have to pay the installments as a compulsion or out of helplessness, as the family member is not agreeing to pay the installments and comes up with a new excuse every time. I am very worried and want to ask that since I had no idea of the loan being haram and now that I have come to know it, but now I am bound to pay that... please tell me what should I do as I am afraid of Allah for being punished as being a facilitator in applying for a loan and now also paying the installments. What should I do??

Q: My husband is a student of deen and his parents help us for our living. I do teach and get a monthly salary alhmdulillah. From it I give 2/3 and keep 1/3 for me.

Now for qurbaani I wanted to do it here in South Africa but my husband said "the best in reward" is that I do in another country cheaper and give the extra with the 2/3. I do not mind giving.

My question is as follow: Will I get more thawaab in doing qurbaani here in South Africa or in doing somewhere else cheaper and giving the extra of my qurbaani budget to help with the expenses?

Q: My father had 4 brothers and 1 sister. After my grandfather's death my father's eldest brother usurped the leather factory which was in the name of all brothers and changed the name of the factory in his daughter's name depriving all the three brothers and their children off their rights.

After this he and his wife did all the wrong which they could possibly do with us from fighting to abusing to physically hurting and even spreading bad things about us to all other relatives. Yet after all this when the same eldest brother fell ill all other brothers took care of him and helped him. His wife for that period of time became good and changed. But as soon as her husband passed away she became the same old evil lady. Yet others kept patient with her and kept ties with her.

She is good to us only when she feels the need for the family support and once her work is done she changes to be the same mean and evil lady. So my question is how to deal with such a relative who from the very beginning has only given loss and hurt and bad memories to us but becomes good when she needs us? She is good to us as long as she knows she will be benefitted from us but when there is any discussion about the family property or division she becomes the most evil person changing her attitude completely.

Q: I have heard that saying aameen to a dua is like making the dua yourself. Sometimes when we listen to recorded Islamic lectures on a CD, the person giving the lecture makes dua. If we say "Aameen" to this dua, will this too be counted as if we said the dua ourselves, even if the dua comes from a recording?

Q: I would just like to enquire if a fasakh is granted based upon a lie, is it valid?

Q: My father in law can’t move by himself so he uses diapers but he always takes off his diapers in front of me and the kids even sometimes he passes urine without asking to close the doors. What should I do?
