Now as from the past two months, I get a discharge on around 25th or 26th day as orange drop once maybe, then nothing till my 28th day, then my normal period resumes. So where do I start counting from the 25th or 28th?

Working for SAPS and growing a beard

Q: My husband works for the SAPS. As part of their dress code, male police officers (my husband is a police officer) are not allowed to keep beards (and in fact, may only keep a moustache). My husband is a new Muslim and has started growing his beard recently. Should he abide by their dress code or should we request for grace in terms of the beard rule, citing religious reasons?

Money obtained before the zakaat date

Q: The condition of Zakaat is that "One should have amount equal or greater than Nisaab amount for more than one year before Zakaat can be paid". My question is, if person receives extra money upon which one year has not passed; does he need to pay Zakaat on this extra money too which does not meet the requirement of "one year old"? Please clarify if zakaat is due only if the amount has been in one's possession for more than a year?

Premarital relationship

Q: I had been engaged for one year and I just talked to my fiancee on mobile and crossed every limit on mobile. She left me after one year and got married immediately to her bhaabi's brother. I saw her after her marriage, she came before me on my call in front of her family. She said that she told her parents that she did not agree to the engagement but her mother said she is lying and her bhaabi had put black magic on her. I am very much confused and upset and can't forget the talks we had. I just want to know that

1. Did she really love that boy?

2. Maybe she loved that boy and me as well but she left me because of my behaviour or may be she and that boy had something between them.

3. I also want to apologise to her in front of her family as well.

Conveying the reward of good deeds to the deceased

Q: If a person recites some portion of the Qur’aan and thereafter conveys the reward of the recitation to a deceased, will the reward reach the deceased and will the deceased benefit through the recitation? Some people claim that neither does the reward reach the deceased nor does the deceased benefit from the recitation in any way. They claim that this is proven through the verse of the Qur’aan

وَ اَنۡ لَّیۡسَ لِلْاِنۡسَانِ اِلَّا مَا سَعٰی

And man does not deserve but the reward of his own actions

Is this claim correct? Is there any proof or evidence in the Mubaarak Ahaadith that the reward of the recitation reaches the deceased and the deceased benefits through it?
