Mother not happy with the girl one wishes to marry

Q: I am 24 years old and I am Bangladeshi. I want to marry a woman who is 11 years older than me, Pakistani, divorced and has a five year old child. As you can see I face monumental hurdles to convince my mother. I am aware that I don't need anyones permission to get married, however, I want my mother to be happy with this marriage. So far I have mentioned to my mother that the woman is Pakistani and my mother has refused even though I have explained that in Islam this is not an issue. I would like to ask the mufti what I can do to convince my mother? I am making plenty of dua that Allah softens her heart and makes her accept. I am also subtly talking about the issue. Also, what can I do if my mother doesn't agree? Is it a sin for me to marry without my mums consent or would it be a sin on my mother for preventing this marriage?

Feeding the poor

Q: I have recently adopted a practice of distributing food among people after jumma prayers out side mosque. My question is that I am not sure whether the people who take the food are really poor people or not? So in this stance please advise whether my this practice is beneficial for me or not?

Paying back only the principle amount in an interest bearing loan

Q: My dad took a credit card back in Oman and told us that he is taking it for emergency purposes and told us that he will pay back the bill within 52 days as to avoid interest according to the bank. We lately moved back to Pakistan and used the entire credit card while coming and now we have the money but 52 days end on this 15th and we have kept the money but can't find any source. So If God forbids we can't pay back before the 15'th and the interest is charged and if we only repay the principle amount but not the interest, will we be punished? Is it haram?

Working with women

Q: I am young single male in my early 20s. I find myself working in an organization department comprised only of female staff. The other departments have male staff, but not mines. I am the only male in my work environment. I have to communicate to the young staff and and elderly staff for administration purposes and work purposes. The staff comprises of young and elderly Muslim women. I experience great difficultly in respect of understanding my role and duty as a Muslim. How do I relate to the young girls and women. Sometime they feel I am being funny when I try not to talk or make salaam to them and they make my task difficult for me. Should I continue in this job or look for another one? How should I conduct myself with the Muslim women?
