Q: My family has a “tradition” of colouring our sheep each year, usually with food colouring to make it look bright and colourful. Our intention is to beautify and decorate it as it’s for Allah, and it’s also a way to get closer to and form a bond with the sheep as we touch it and hold it etc. Is there any harm to this?
Q: Is it permissible to perform one’s personal obligatory Qurbani, and intend with it donating the reward to the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) or some other deceased individual?
Q: Nowadays it happens that during Qurbani, for excitement, one animal is let loose after cutting it, so that it runs around in this bleeding condition. What is the status of such an act in shareeat?
Q: My husband is a student of deen and his parents help us for our living. I do teach and get a monthly salary alhmdulillah. From it I give 2/3 and keep 1/3 for me.
Now for qurbaani I wanted to do it here in South Africa but my husband said "the best in reward" is that I do in another country cheaper and give the extra with the 2/3. I do not mind giving.
My question is as follow: Will I get more thawaab in doing qurbaani here in South Africa or in doing somewhere else cheaper and giving the extra of my qurbaani budget to help with the expenses?
Q: I purchased a goat for Qurbani, tonight it had been murdered by dogs. Now is it mandatory to purchase another goat ?
Q: Can we share 3 or 6 in a cow for qurbani?
Q: How many shares in a bull?
Q: Is it permissible to slaughter a sheep whose tail is cut. They say it was cut due to medical reasons.
Q: Every year, on the days of qurbaani, my father appoints another person to carry out the slaughtering of a cow on our behalf (we are 4 members as a family). This is done every year with the knowledge of all the members.
1. Is this method correct?
2. Despite having the knowledge of it, is it compulsory for me to give my consent verbally?
