However, according to the Shaafi’ee mazhab, shaving or trimming the beard is only makrooh tanzeehi. Hence, if a person shaves or trims his beard, it will merely be disliked and he will not become sinful. Is this the correct view of the Shaafi’ee Mazhab - that they regard shaving and trimming the beard to be makrooh tanzeehi?
