Q: Is receiving free services from a bank like: being able to receive my income in my current account and pay with the debit card associated considered riba?
My bank does not have account maintenance fee and offer these services.
A: These services the bank offers are in lieu of the monthly bank charges which the client pays to the bank. Hence, they do not enter under riba.
