Q: A lady wants to go for hajj. She has her own money to pay for hajj fees, but her husband does not want to go. Wife does not know the reason. Her husband does not go anywhere, never ever take her out anywhere for vacations. What should the wife do?
Wife is 49 years old. Can she go for hajj with a group of ladies. She has no brother and her father died many years ago. She has no child. Is there any way she can go on hajj?

A: If she does not have any mahram to accompany her on the journey, then hajj is not compulsory upon her. If she finds a mahram, then she should go for hajj. However, she should make a wasiyyat that after she passes away, hajj should be performed on her behalf from one third of her estate.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
