Q: I read in seeratun Nabi that the worst person is he who reads the Quran without attention. I usually read three paras a day whilst driving, but most of the time my attention deviates. Should I read less and try to focus more? Will I be punished rather than receive reward for all the recitation without attention?

Q: I got a question about marriage. I have recently met a girl that has reverted to Islam, and me and her we want to get married, I am a muslim, my parents approve, but her parents are non-muslim and do not approve her getting married. So I was wondering who will be her Wali, as nobody in her family or house hold are Muslims. How do we do it with witnesses when we are doing nikah and she is 18 so its legal.

Q: I am working in Birmingham city university and some of my Muslim colleagues due to spending most of his time around non believers are a bit away from deen. He has this objection against hadith that we should just follow the Quran as its authentic and not Hadith. I do try explain him that without hadith one cannot understand Islam. Can you please help with it as you can provide me some verses from Quran so that I can relate it to him and any other means to make him understand.

Q: I want to know if I am considered as a mussafir or not. I went for umrah on the 19th December 2015 and returned on the 2nd January 2016. During my time in umrah I was in Makkah for three days, Madinah three days and in yanbu al bahr for 7 days. So please can you tell me if I am considered Musafir or not?

Q: I like one girl. I met her three months back. I did istikhara at the starting and now after three months my parents went to there place and after that they ask our well know mufti to tell us if it is good for us or not. We gave him the names of both families and he said its not good for you but I love her. Can I go against this decision or not? Please help me. We have to inform them tomorrow about our decision.

Q: I have a question regarding haidh. I have always been regular with my period. Every month more or less at the same time I get it. However I went for an op and I am on medication. This has left me spotting continuously. How do I work out my haidh days. Do I work on 10 days haidh and 15 clean days in between?
