Consulting with one's elders and performing Istikhaarah

Q: I had made Istikhaarah for a certain matter and went to sleep. Upon awaking for Fajr Salaah today, my heart was very confused and indecisive. I thought that I will have to continue for several days.

After Ishraaq Salaah, I remained awake for an hour or so in Ibaadat, Tilaawat, zikr etc. Thereafter, I felt tired and slept for about two hours. When I woke up, my heart was very much inclined in a certain direction. I did not perform Salaatul Istikhaarah, read the dua, or do anything related to the Istikhaarah before this sleep. Nevertheless, should I consider this inclination?

The script of the Qur'an

Q: I noticed that the word fitrat (فطرة) is spelled in the Qur'an with a long taa rather than the round one (i.e. فطرت as in فطرت الله). Is it part of our religion that the spelling must be made in this way? Was it something that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) commanded?

Qadha for missed fasts

Q: When can a woman can keep her missed fasts which were left due to menses during the month of Ramadaan? Is it obligatory to keep all missed fasts of Ramadaan in the same year and can not be kept after one or two years?

Marital problem

Q: I wanted to ask a question on behalf of a friend. She is married for one and a half years and she has been having marriage problems. Her husband always abuses her. Also her in-laws treat her really badly and when she asked for divorce her husband said that he isn't going to give her divorce and that he did not want to marry her but now he is going to keep her in his nikaah and he wont free her. This friend was told by someone that she should pray surah Mumtahina 11 times daily for 11 days and after this her husband will divorce her himself. I wanted to ask for her is this true because my friend doesn't believe in this.

Terminating one's Kaffara due to illness

Q: I am on my 17 of 60th day for my Kaffarah. I went to the doctor the pills he gave have to be taken four times a day every 6 hours. Last night I got very sick to the point where I vomited 6 times. I have the stomach flu which is a different sickness from the one where I have to take the four pills for. Do I still continue fasting. Our fasts start around 6:03 and end at 4:42 pm.

Wazifa for getting rich

Q: I have 2 questions.

1. We want to get rich. Is there any wazifa for that. I heard that Al-Maalik should be recited after every fajr prayer. Please tell us any wazifa.

2. My dad wants to work in UK. A mufti did istikhara for my dad and said that we should apply in the UK as chances are more strong over there. So is there any dua to recite before applying for a job.

Getting involved in interest

Q: My dad bought a phone on a credit card. If the bill is payed within 54 days then no interest is charged. However my dad couldn't pay the money within that time so now the total bill is 95 rials whereas the phone's price was 85 rial. Now we want to get rid of this card but we have to pay the bill to finish off the sunscription. So please guide us.

Rejecting a fardh of Deen

Q: I want to ask about the reasons which cause the loss of a person's Imaan. There is a man who does not fast in the Holy month of Ramadaan. He does not say prayers regularly. But whenever he says the prayer, he only recites "Ashadu Allah Ilaaha Illallah" in attahiyyaat and ends the prayer. He does not recite complete kalima and Durood etc. He gives the reason that he does so because he does not like reciting anyone elses name in Namaaz except ALLAH. He also does not believe in Qurbaani and says it is better to give money to a poor person than spending money on this event. Whenever something is explained to him-in the light of Sunnah/Hadees, he does not agree/believe and says just tell me where this thing is written in the Quran. About Hajj he once said it is just a way to increase the treasures of the Arabs. My question is that can this person be regarded as a Muslim and if he marries a Muslim woman, will the Nikah be vaild?
