The name "Abu Zarr"

Q: What is the meaning of the Islamic (boy) name "Abu Zarr"? I know it is a sahabi's name, but some people told me this name doesn't have good effects on the personality or character. Is it true? Can you also tell about the personality/importance of Hazrat Abu Zarr Ghifari's character in Islam? Also, will it be good to pair "Abu Zarr" as first name, with last name "Zaeem" i.e. "Abu Zarr Zaeem"? Please urgent response is requested.

Poisoning dogs

Q: Our neighbours have given food to stray dogs and hence the stray dogs are near my home for one year. It scares us because we have children in the house. It has 6 puppies and no mater what I do they don't leave my home alone. Neighbours have done this to upset us. Because of the fear of Allah we have not killed them but yesterday it bit my maasi (working lady). My question is when the government don't act, am I allowed to kill them by poison? They sometimes bark and are always on my door. I fear for my kids.

Giving donations from the estate

Q: A lady has just been told that her deceased husband had told some people who were collecting donations for a school in India that he would give them five hundred British pounds as lillah, but he passed away very suddenly, without paying out the money. Now those people are asking the deceased man's family to pay them. Does the man's family have to give that money? Will they be committing a sin if they don't? Will the deceased man suffer in the after life if the lillah is not paid? Please bear in mind that all debts of the man has been paid from the money which he left, but is the fact that he said he will give lillah, but died before he was able to, be considered as a debt?

Chewing gum

Q: Is chewing gum halaal or haraam? I have come to know that chewing gum is made up of pig fat. So I want to know from you that what is the Islamic ruling on this?

Dissolving an ante-nuptial contract

Q: I would like to know I signed an ante nuptial contract prior to me making Nikaah, a month later we made nikaah and a further month later we registered our marriage (South African Legal Marriage). I am married for two years now. I have now come to know I made an error in the ante nuptial contract and for it to be corrected, we would have to "legally" divorce in terms of South African Law, then enter into a new Ante nuptial contract, and then re register our marriage. Both my spouse and I do not want to get divorced islamically, If we do get a "legal" or "civil" divorce will this affect our nikaah? We can do the default divorce whereby the wife initiates divorces, the husband receives the summons (he has ten 10 to defend, if he does not defend, the divorce will be given by default by the SA courts). I am asking this as it is important to me to ensure my ante nuptial contract is in order. This is affecting my mental ability to think and do my work, as it is always on my mind.
