Girl choosing to get married or study online

Q: A proposal has come for me but my parents are not calling them so that they can come to our home. They are waiting for their call. Meanwhile, they are signing me up for an online university. As I’m unmarried, I have alot of thoughts about marriage and I cannot stop thinking about it to the point that any mention of marriage makes me feel sad that I’m not part of this union with someone.

What should I pray to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) for? For the best solution, whether it is marriage or studying online, or should I beg Him for a good spouse?

Husband checking his wife's messages and social media accounts

Q: Wouldn't it be permissible for a husband to check his wife's phone and her messages in WhatsApp and social media? I have seen some Ulama say it is not permissible because it is her private interactions. But I was confused about what they said. How else can you ensure that your wife is not falling into something bad? Isn't it like checking your child's phone?

The rights of the husband and wife

Q: I have heard some saying including few scholars saying that a husband's rights over his wife are greater than her rights over him. Is that true and why/why not? I am finding this saying a bit strange because in the Quran it says that wives have similar rights over their husbands to what is reasonable. Islam teaches that both have equal rights, some of their rights are identical but some rights are different, and the husband's rights are not more important than the wife's rights, rather both the rights of the husband and wife are of equal importance. Can you please explain, is the saying mentioned above true and if it is true, then why is it true? Because it seems to contradict islamic teachings.

Hall functions

Q: I recently stopped attending hall functions. I often get questioned as to why I'm not attending, as the functions are completely separate and no haraam is taking place. Please advise.

Husband using a portion of wife's salary

Q: I am a Muslim woman who is working and married. My parents have a low financial condition for which I support them even after marriage. I give 30% of my salary to my parents and 70% to my husband. But my husband is now restricting me from giving money to my parents even after knowing their financial condition. What should I do?

My husband wants me to invest my salary in some good schemes so that it will be beneficial for me and my husband in the future. Whom should I listen to because not giving money to my parents will cause them great difficulty in surviving. Would using that money in increasing my wealth be a sin or not?
