Copyright for images

Q: I am editing a kitaab where I have placed different titles in arabic (Alayhis salaam, Radi-Allahu-Anhu etc.) after the names of the Sahaabah, Prophets and Angels etc. Most of them came standard with the software I use however it was missing one which was Radi-Allahu-Anhaa, to be used after A'isha. I found a suitable arabic image for it online but I would like to know should I ask the owner of the documents permission before using this image ? I'm not taking any information from the document itself just the arabic title itself as it is difficult to find a nice image otherwise.

Selling fake designer glasses frames

Q: Please advise on the following:

A Muslim optometrist is having a problem with unqualified people smuggling fake designer frames into the country. These people send their customers to professional optometrists for eye tests and they ask for a script. Then they have their glasses made at a reduced cost by the "pirate" dealer.

Is it Islamically correct to have these types of crooks reported to the authorities? Some are Muslims and some are Non-Muslims.

Software piracy

Q: My question is about the Software Piracy. I have seen some software/plugins that people have to buy with cash. Though they are paid software, some of the software don't require any serial key/purchase code to use. They can be used only if the user has the software main copy. What if the user don't buy them from a store but get a real copy from the internet. Will using the software be halaal?

Downloading an e-book for free

Q: If any author kept his book (not Deeni) on certain rate to download online (book for sale), the same book I get from another source some other guy downloaded before and posted on his site or from torrent. Is it ok to download that books and read it and get knowledge from it and it helps for my career. If the author is dead and the caretaker selling the book online. Can I download it from another source, I don't know weather they buy or just download it illegally and posting it for free.

Website theme

Q: I do not have sufficient money to buy a website theme, so I have decided to get it free instead of paying money. But before I do so, I know that stealing rights of software without permission is haram, so I got a new question. Is it permissible to get the website theme free (without asking for permission) and then make money from it and then pay to the owner the cost of the theme?
