Q: Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to leave her home in order to go to a beauty parlour or salon to style her hair or wax the hair on her body? What is the Shar’ee ruling in regard to this issue?

Q: I read it is Sunnah of sleeping to recite Surah Ikhlas, mawazitain once and blow on your palms, wiping hands over the body till where they can reach and this is done thrice. Similarly it is Sunnah to recite ayat-ul-kursi. My question is is that can women practice these sunnahs during haidh?

Q: I am a 21 year old Muslim woman. I started observing hijab recently but I am confused with regards to mahram. I have two 13 and 10 year old cousins who are growing up in front of me in my hands. One of them is now showing early signs of puberty. They are like little kids to me. Should I have to observe hijaab in front of them also?

Q: I want to know is it permissible to talk to non-mahrams? Like if someone is studying in a co-education and having boy fellows and male teachers so then is it allowed to talk to them? I have heard that a girl is not allowed to talk to non-mahrams but if in case of helping and if a non-mahram shares his problems with you without having any bad intention so is it allowed? Can girls and boys be friends?

Q: I gave birth on 15 May 2016. I had a ghusal on the expiry of nifaas which was the 24th June 2016. However I still continued to bleed till now. In a week I will stop bleeding for 2/3 days then it would resume. In this scenario do I count my Haidh and if so how do I go about doing it?

Q: During Iddah, it is haram for the wife to live away from the husband. Is it the same thing for the husband? Can he leave her and live separately?

Q: If a woman experiences yellow discharge or discharge tinged with a little yellow after 15 days has passed from her haidh, does she regard this as haidh even though it doesn't occur around the usual date that she begins haidh and she often has this discharge even during the 15 days?

Q: If I am correct, it is not permissible for a woman to show/open her hair in front of non Muslim women. So if her mum and sisters are not Muslim, does the same rule apply? Also what is the rule for her to open her hair in front of her non-Muslim father and brothers?
