Q: My daughter is in grade 10 and 5 para Hafizah. She is contemplating leaving school to continue hifz full time or start an Aalima course. She is an intelligent child and high achiever both in school and madressa. What is Mufti's advice?
Q: I wanted to ask Mufti Sahib regarding Girls Madrasah Reunions.
It doesn't happen very often but when it does women who are old students of the Madrasahs are invited. Some have to come from far and wide.
I wanted to ask ruling regarding these reunions and what will be the correct way to view such gatherings in the light of Shariah?
Q: I'd like to find out if it is permissible for me as a lady to go out of my home and assist in a local care center for our Muslim mothers of our communities (they have no family to take care of them).
I always wear loose fitting clothing and make sure I am home by asr time if I do have to go out in necessity.
I have the skill of interacting and taking care of the elderly whether its family or not and love sitting with the elderly and listening to their advice and gaining some wisdom. I've been wanting to volunteer but am not sure what is the shariah ruling with regards to my intention of going out of my home to serve the elderly for the pleasure of Allah and giving back to community as many of our elderly ladies especially from Taleem always made the time to give me a good Tarbiyah as I grew into a lady that I am now.
And advice will be greatly appreciated and follwed Insha allah.
Q: Should women undertake the journey to Masjidul Aqsa?
Q: We are encouraged to accept invitations for meals and not to reject it as it is a Sunnah to accept such invitations.
What about women? Should they accept such invitations and go with with their mahrams? Or women should avoid leaving their houses for this reason?
Q: Is horse riding allowed in Islam for women?
Q: I was touched inappropriately by a bike rider while I was on a street. I was wearing an abaya and hijab. Is it due to some of my misconduct that Allah punished me or show me that I should seek forgiveness. I'm trying my best to avoid Haram things and doings. Then why all this happened??
I complained to the police just to report the incident, but can't proceed because I know the police here isn't that much effective. Kindly assist.
Q: Can I live in a hostel with my sister for higher education?
Q: Allah Ta'ala mentions in the Quraan:
وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَىٰ ﴿الأحزاب: ٣٣ ﴾
Translation: “Remain in your homes and do not exit from your homes displaying your beauty as would be displayed (by the women) in the former times of ignorance.” (Al-Ahzaab:33)
1. Many women say that they have to only live in their homes and cannot go out. They say that they also have hearts and they also want to see all other things outside like, the greenery, the parks and other things. Why do they have to only sit in the house?
Sometimes I also get disturbed. Please tell me so that my imaan gets strong.
2. Is it permissible for a woman to go to a nearby park or gym that is only for women for jogging and exercises with full pardah daily?
