Q: I am Hanafi and I plan to travel soon for umrah with my wife, my wife's sister and my mother in law. I would like to find out if I can be regarded as my wife's sister's mahram. My wife's sister is 36 years old.
Q: My friend [24f] makes parda from her brother in law [17m]. However her father's first cousins is her husbands maternal uncles and she doesn't make parda from them. Upon telling her she brought the hadith of brother in law being death and said there is no specific ahadith relating to her having to making parda from her husbands mothers brothers therefore she doesn't have to. Is it true?
Q: I recently heard someone say that it is permissible for the sister-in-law to not make parda from her brother-in-law when:
1. There is no scope of fitna.
2. When it becomes difficult for her to leave her own room for basic needs.
My friend has recently married into a family of 6. They live in a small flat. Her brother-in- law is 6 years younger than her and she claims he is an actual replica of her brother in her maternal home. There isn't a chance that they can ever be alone. It becomes difficult for her to constantly be in her cloak, burkha and pardah the entire day almost as if she is at a guests home and not in a home that she has a right to stay in. What is the ruling regarding this?
Q: I observed Hijab (with face cover) but my wedding is near and when my marriage proposal came, my mother in law requested me not to cover my face in front of my brother-in-law after marriage. I feared that time and I agreed to her but now I'm confused if Islam allows it or not. Please guide me regarding that.
