Q: I have been on holiday for 10 days so I've been reading Qasr salaah and was supposed to leave back home on the 14th day. I've decided to stay on another week. Do I continue reading Qasr salaah or I have to start reading full salaah.
Q: I plan on travelling for holiday oversees for 20 days. I will be staying by family in a city but I will be travelling to other cities as well during the 20 days. Should I read qasr salaah or full salaah?
Q: I permanently work and reside in Sydney, Australia with family while not owning any property here. My parents live in Lahore, Pakistan in a house under their ownership whereas I own a residential plot in Islamabad, Pakistan.
I'd like to know if I am travelling and staying at any of the above three locations under 14 days, where should I offer full prayers and where would qasr prayer be required?
Q: Insha Allah I have intention for Hajj. So we leave on the 28th of April from JHB.
We'll be 10 days in Makkah
Then 12 days in Azzizia
Then 6 days of Hajj
Then another 6 days in Azzizia.
So what I want know is where am I musaafir in this whole trip and where am I muqeem? Do I regard Makkah and Azzizia as 1 or what?
Q: A person leaves his home for travels. The airport is approx 20km away. Does he read Qasr Salaah at the airport, as it is still within the boundary of his home, or does he qualify for Qasr Salaah as he already left home with the intention of traveling?
Q: I travel 150 km daily for work. Should I pray qasar or normal?
Q: If a person leaves his home for a place beyond a safr distance to go and study. His plan is only to remain there for the period of his studies e.g. 4 years. He does not regard the place of study as his home. If he stays in the place of study for less than 15 days, then will he be regarded as a mussafir?
Q: I live in Durban and Insha Allah will be going for Umrah the next day from Johannesburg. I will be flying from Durban to Johannesburg. If I am making Zohr Salaat at the Durban airport before catching the flight, do I read the full salaat or am I going to make qasr salaat?
Q: If I travel from Johannesburg to Durban for 20 days, but stay at different suburbs in Durban for a few days each, e.g. Musgrave, Sherwood, Overport, Clare Estate, Westville, etc.
1. Would I be a musafir?
2. What is considered in determining whether a place is considered as one or two different places? E.g. Is it based on the city name, suburb, physical break in buildings, etc?
