Q: Please explain to me the proper method of slaughtering the Qurbaani animal. The Sunnah method and what dua should be recited. Is it correct for a woman to slaughter her sheep if there are only mahrams present? What did Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم do on Eid-ul-adha?
Q: I have a question regarding Qurbaani. I have +- R4000 cash and some jewellery which will equal to zakaat. I don't have any income. Is Qurbaani wajib on me?
Q: My question is that we bought a cow for Qurbaani and we are 6 member. So the remaining share we want do for Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). Is it permissible?
Q: Is it permissible to slaughter sheep for Qurbani without tails and what is the minimum age of sheep?
Q: A group of students get together to get a sheep slaughtered for Qurbaani for the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). Will the Qurbaani be invalid since a group of people cannot slaughter a single sheep, or will it be valid since if they intended the slaughter to be on behalf of a single person (i.e. the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)?
Q: Question on costing for Qurbani by the committee providing the service. Is it permissible to add an extra amount to the Qurbani cost for masjid development projects. To add service charges and admin costs is understandable. But using the Qurbani as an opportunity for fund raising for the masjid is questionable. This pushes the cost of Qurbani up making it difficult to perform the duty.
Q:
1. Is Qurbaani fardh or an emphasized Sunnah?
2. I have read it is sufficient for a man to slaughter on behalf of his family - is this correct, false or a difference of opinion
3. Can you dedicate a sacrifice in general, but also doing Qurbani for a dead relative (dedicating the reward to them), also can you do this for the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) as in dedicate the reward to him? I know it's not a Sunnah, but is it allowed?
Q: I am sending an email of a brother who sent Ahadith and comments in favor of doing Qurbaani on the forth day.
Q: I have two questions I need to ask. I was talking to my husband yesterday about Qurbaani and we had a disagreement. He told me that Qurbaani is not farz, and my belief is that Qurbani is fardh if you are working and have a steady income. Can you please clarify that for me. Also another question is about zakaat. My husband told me that we already give zakaat in the form of tax, so we don't have to give it anymore, but my questions is about the savings and all the saving plans that we have and the money that lies there, isn't it farz to give zakat on that? Please let me know. I would appreciate it very much.
