Talaaq

Q: Recently I found out that my husband only married me for a visa since I am a US citizen. We haven’t consummated our marriage. Also he doesn’t really love or care for me. We havent been in contact for over 6-7 months. In my nikaah, I got the right of divorce from my husband (delegated right of divorce to wife). I want to end this marriage.

1. Can I just pronounce I chose myself or I am divorcing myself from you 3x over a text and send him a notice too, will my divorce be valid?

2. Do I have to seek khula or I can just get divorce by saying it.

Q: If somebody says to his wife "if you do this work, you will be talaq, talaq and talaq on me" and ofter some time her husband wants to give her permission to do the work which he forbade her from. In this case, will talaq apply or not?

Q: My wife insulted my mother for jealousy over my second wife. My second wife used to live with my mother. Initially my wife who lives with my mother phoned my other wife through my mother's phone and insulted her, as a result she called back to my mother's phone and insulted my mother badly. She used disgusting words when she was insulting my beloved mother.

What should be my reaction to this, shall I divorce her or not? Please advice me on this matter.

Q: My husband has anger issues. I belong from a different country. In a fight, I used to say "theek h ap mre papers bana de" What I meant was immigration papers and he said ok.

1. Is that a divorce? 

2. Is that revocable or irrevocable?

3. Is papers bana de kinaya alfaz?

Q: By saying "maine talaq daydoonga" is talaq done or counted as talaq? Because all I said to warn my wife.

Q: Is intercourse necessary for revoking divorce after one talaaq or if only true intention for keeping one's wife even if saying it verbally counts? As wife was away and could not come back due to limited number of flights during three menstrual cycles.

Q: My spouse and I had a severe argument and in anger and anguish without realizing I said to her I will divorce you. When I came back to my senses I realized what mistake I made since it wasn't my intention but she abused my mother and I completely lost it.

Last year we had few fights and I had said this twice but she has always stopped me but I am not sure if divorce is done or not. If it has, is there a way out of this since I wasn't in my senses.

Q: A married couple had some marital disagreements, after which they sought the advise of a local aalim. Talaaq was pronounced. According to the husband, he said it twice but according to the aalim and another witness, talaaq was pronounced thrice. The couple wishes to reconcile, the wife is still in her period of Iddah. Can they reconcile?

Q:If a person gives his wife talaq-e-baain by saying I don't want to live with you get out from my house, and his intentions are also divorce. Now, his wife is no more in his nikah but he did not accept that that kind of talaq will happen and others also do not accept it. His wife tried not to go near him then he went out of the country for earning purposes and he said to his wife, if I will not send you 25000 every month then it means I divorce you. He did not send his wife the money and again divorced her.

His wife married some other person after iddat and he also divorced her after her iddat then she married her first husband again because of his child and her first husband also asked her for apologies.

Kindly tell me that that condition which her first husband said to her that if I will not send you 25000 than you are divorced (please remember that her husband said these words after talaq-e-baain and before divorce words or you can say between talaq-e-baain and talaq-e-raji) is this condition the same for her after halaala or now she is free from this condition?

Q: Please advise if talaaq takes place in the following incidents:

1. Telling my wife that we will get divorced.

2. Telling my brother in law and wife that I have decided (meaning that I have decided that I want to and will divorce my wife).

3. Telling my father in law that my wife and I both decided that it is best for us to get divorced.

4. Telling my mother that there's no other option (meaning that there's no other option for my wife and I other than getting divorced)
