Husband telling the wife "I got no wasta"

Q: My husband touched the Quran in anger an said I got no wasta. He said he didn't mean it as divorce. Can you please tell me does that mean we are divorced? I've already paid kafara of feeding 20 poor people because he touched the Quran. An we been living like man an wife since. Please help me as I'm not comfortable. I pray five times and I don't want to live in sin for the rest of my life.

Arguments between husband and wife

Q: My question is based on my situation below, is our marriage still valid? My husband and I have had a argument back in november 2014 and since then we have not been under the same roof. We have communicated over the phone and twice in the presence of others, but overall every conversation we had was with a lot of argument, fight, negativity in all forms, no matter how hard I tried to make it positive. We have not had a happy conversation ever since on good terms as a genuine husband and wife would in a normal non-stressful life. What concerns me that with all that negativity and separation going on, is our nikaah still valid? Are we considered a married couple? I hope I provided enough information for you to analyze the correct Islamic way for my situation.

Three written talaaqs

Q: My husband gave me 1 written talaaq 8 years ago but we consummated before the iddat period. Then today he gave me 2 written talaaqs. Does it mean three talaaqs or still two. What is the procedure now. I am confused. I love him but he doesn't seem to care.

Issuing talaaq for residency purposes

Q: I am in U.S. on a visit visa. I got a girl to marry on contract but I am married in my country. In U.S. you can marry one lady at a time so I have to give one sided talaak to my first wife. It's just for paper work. In real I don't want to give my first wife talaak. Is it permissible in Islam because through this I will get permanent residency in the U.S.

Husband saying "go to your fathers house"

Q: My parents used to quarrel and many times my father used the words like "go to your fathers house" and even once told to my grandfather "take your daughter to your home" ( in Urdu) and once he even said that "I will get another wife"but never used the word divorce explicitly; but now alhamdulillah they don't fight anymore. Please tell me the status of nikaah of my parents and I think he did not intend divorce at that time.

Talaaq issued over the phone

Q: My husband and I live apart since 2013. He used to come and see me often. He gave me one divorce in 2012 but then we went back together. He gave me another divorce in November 2014 but this time over the phone. When he gave it to me we still stayed in contact due to some paper work issues but he didn't ask me to come back to him neither he came to see me or take me back. I want to know if I am divorced as its been almost 6 months now.

Husband saying "I will leave you"

Q: It is requested to please clarify the issue regarding divorce. Husband and wife had a fight over the phone when no one was around. Wife reports the words said by the husband that "I will leave you" more than once. However, after 4-5 days the Husband regrets saying this and now reports that I didn't say these words. However, they now wants to live together, but the problem is that what does Shari'ah say when the husband denies these words but the wife reports these words with no witnesses? What would be the kafara for this? Please guide us in this difficult situation.
