Wearing an Amaamah (Turban)

Q: Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to wear ammamah and it can be any cloth wrapped on head? It is not specific to Indian pagri or Saudi sughra? Like the Arab sughra or like wearing kufi and then placing a cloth on it like what imams of haram wear is sunah?

Women trimming uneven hair

Q: My hair is passed my hips. When I cut my hair when coming out of ihraam, I cut it bent so the end of my hair is uneven. Would it be permissable to straighten it so its 1 length. The purpose is not to imitate kuffar or fashion, because the uneven hair can sometimes look unattractive.

Men and women's clothing

Q: Why are women said to wear burkha but men aren't. And how should a Muslim man dress? And like if I like a sweat shirt am I allowed to wear because the sweat shirt(not body tight) can look good and still attract the opposite gender. So is that permissible in Islam, to wear nice clothing?

Is the abaya a compulsory dress?

Q: I have an elder sister and she is at the age of marriage. She got a proposal and the boy is good in all conditions but he wants his wife to wear abaya while my sister does not want to wear abaya. The boy's family said that abaya is necessary or else they will cancel the proposal. What should we do? Should we force our sister to wear abaya?

Trimming the beard

Q: I am 18 years old and studying in 12th grade. I am growing a beard but my beard looks odd. I used gel to make it look straight but nothing happened. People everyday say me to neaten my beard and criticize me. Well all of these made me lose confidence. I dont want to meet people because they will criticize me. Can I just neaten my beard and will let it grow step by step?

Being forced to wear un-Islamic clothes to work

Q: I have to go to work in Saudi Arabia. They are saying that I should dress casual, that means pants and shirt. I don't like to wear it as I prefer a thobe and red guthra. What should I do? Some of the people laugh and say - molvi got sold out for money - wearing pants and shirt - showing his privates around. Some say you are caught into the trap of the enemies of Islam and shaytan. I sometimes hear such comments and as a result I don't know what to do?

1. Is it haram to do like this - wear pants and shirt for work only and then dispose of it after work?

2. Is a tie a sign of the cross? Everyone at work wears it except me and a few others?

3. I am scared that if I die in this condition will I go to hell for earning rizq in a haram way i.e. wearing pants and shirt?

4. I am thinking how can I convince my non-Muslim boss to allow me not to wear it especially when everyone is ok wearing a business suit?
